~ Kym To Rock Carew ~

Kym Marsh will rock Carew this summer, as part of a charity concert put on to raise money for the RNLI Angle Tamar appeal and Small Faces All Children’s Charity.

The plucky Wigan lass won the nation's hearts during the first ever series of Pop Stars, and subsequently shot to fame and the top of the charts in Hear’Say. She has since pursued a solo musical career and is currently starring in Corrie as struggling singer Michelle.

She will take to the stage at Carew Airfield on August 5th, performing with The Jones Gang. This is a band led by world famous rock drummer Kenney Jones; accompanied by Robert Hart, former lead singer of Bad Company, and Rick Wills, bass player with Peter Frampton’s Camel, and Foreigner.

This will be Kym’s first time singing with a major rock band, made up of rock legends from three world-famous bands.

The final line up for the concert has been announced as follows:

Kym will also pick the winning raffle ticket in the RNLI concert raffle, when one lucky concertgoer will win a Hyundai Getz car (for 12 months use), supplied by co-sponsors of the concert Hyundai Cars UK. Texaco are the other major sponsors of the concert

Other celebrities have promised to attend the concert and are due to make an appearance on stage in a show of support for the two charities.

Tickets are now available from Ticketmaster. The gates for the nine hour music marathon open at 3.00pm with non-stop onstage entertainment until midnight.
