~ Kym's Style ~
Kym's style is more about comfort than glamour - she's the first to say her favourite item of clothing is her trainers. The paparazzi rarely snap her out of jeans and trainers, and she always wore her Parker when she and Jack visited Ikea in the early days of their romance.Although Kym admits some of the things she wore in Hear'Say were a bit dodgy, she loved the blue and purple hair extensions she wore for one gig.And she certainly scrubs up well, like at the British Soap Awards 2001 where she wowed photographers in a sophisticated black trouser suit with the Latino-style rose in her hair.At her wedding in August 2002 she wore a £10,000 dress designed by Maria Yiannikari, who designed wedding dresses for Zoe Ball and Amanda Holden. But she's not a designer girl at heart and is the first to admit she's most comfortable in the types of clothes she wore before she became famous. She told New Woman magazine: 'I like high street shops. I love Topshop, Karen Millen, Oasis, Levi and Diesel'
~ Kym's Hair ~
Leaving the doomed days of Hear'Say far behind, Kym Marsh has shaken off the shackles of reality TV to emerge a sleeker, sharper version of her former self, with solo career and trophy husband to boot. With expert advice from her hair and make-up stylist Donald McInnes, here's how she's matched her brand new life with a brand new look
Hearsay Days:Since Kym first burst onto the pop scene with Hear'Say, her hair has yo-yoed from short, shattered bob to flat and heavily layered. It now sits happily in between, in long textured slices that can be just as easily pumped up as slicked down.
Punky Kym: Leaving the fringe and the top loose, pull large sections of hair from each side into a tight, high ponytail at the back of the head, using a strand of hair to wrap around the elastic band and conceal the join.'Then, use large velcro rollers to add volume to the top sections before brushing the hair back over the top of your head and pushing it forward to form a quiff. Pin the quiff into place at the crown of the head and wrap any loose hair around the base of the pony tail' ~ Kym's Make Up ~
