Kimberley Gail Marsh was born 13th june 1976 in Garswood Lancashire.
She was the youngest of four children, having a sister, Tracy,
and two brothers, David and John.
The family had a musical background, Kym's dad David was in a band named 'Ricky And The Dominant Four'At just 10 years of age Kym had her first singing expierience, singing with a band at the local labour club. She knocked everyone out with a performance of the Cliff Richard song 'Living doll', and subsequently joined the Starlight Roadshow, performing at charity events all over the UK.She also got the part of kate in the musical 'Annie', and worked at improving her singing, by regular practice at home on a karaoke machine.

Kym's dream of having a record deal was realised when she was just 13. She was signed to a small label called Jelly Street Records, and they released her first single, a song called 'One Kiss'. It entered the charts, giving Kym her first taste of success at an early age.

Kym attended the Elliot Clarke Stage school in Liverpool for two years, but was unhappy at only singing there one day each week, and decided to leave when she was fifteen.

After leaving school Kym worked in a number of jobs including receptionist, and shop assistant. Before Hear'say Kym had previously had chart hits back in 1997 with Solar Stone, who's single 'Day by Day' reached around 80 in the top 100. Hear'say had great sucess and their first single 'Pure and Simple' Shot to number one in the charts, and their 2nd single 'The Way To Your Love' Also went to number one! They had two hit albums Popstars and Everybody and their third single also called Everybody also did well in the charts.
Hear'say were huge, they did a 36 date nation wide arena tour which was a sell out, and had a wide range of merchandise, dolls, books etc

But... Soon after the release of Everybody Kym decided to leave the band. She later went on to relase solo material and her 1st solo single 'Cry' entered the chart at number 2, and her follow up single 'Come On Over' was also top 10 in the chart. Her album 'Standing Tall' also got top 10... but her third single 'Senitimental' failed to reach top of the charts and she was dropped from her record label...
