The Michelle-and-Steve love-a-go-round in Coronation Street speeds up when she finds out her brother killed her husband! Kym Ryder tells all...

How does Michelle find out that it was actually her brother Paul who killed her husband Dean in a car accident? "Michelle finds out from Carla. Carla's annoyed with Liam because he wants her out of the factory after Katya's death and the cover-up and she's not happy because it was all Paul's idea to lie about when the accident happened. When Michelle tries to defend her brothers, Carla blurts out that Liam and Paul are nowhere near as perfect as Michelle likes to think. That there are things Michelle doesn't know. Then she realises she's gone too far and clams up."

But now Michelle really wants to know and after confronting Paul, she tackles Liam, doesn't she?"She knows he's more likely to spill the beans and though he tries to fob her off she keeps at him until he tells. It's like a relief for him to finally confess."

How does Michelle react to the news?"She's totally and utterly devastated’ says Kym. ‘How could her brothers have done this to her? How could they have let her and Ryan believe that Dean was a drunk driver when all the time it was Paul?"

How does Michelle feel about her brothers now? ‘She can't believe that they've been lying to her all these years. She hates both of them for what they've done although she blames Paul the most. Michelle knows that Liam - for all his cocky, laddish behaviour - is easily led and not good in a crisis. She knows very well that it would have been Paul's idea."

What does she say to him?"She confronts Paul and calls him a murderer. He tries to explains, saying that he would have gone to jail if he'd told the truth. That Dean was dead anyway. That telling the truth wouldn't have brought him back."

Where does this leave Michelle's relationship with her brothers?"Paul and Liam have destroyed everything. While one day she may be able to forgive Liam, I doubt she'll ever forgive Paul. It's not just the shock of the betrayal that's affecting her. What should she tell Ryan? He believes his dad was a drunk driver and he deserves to know that Dean wasn't. But his uncles are extremely important to him too. Michelle doesn't know what to tell or not tell him."

In need of someone to talk to, Michelle turns to Steve, doesn't she? "He's fantastic. And turns out to be the perfect shoulder for her to cry on. He's genuinely sympathetic and so supportive.

And he's also madly in love with her. Does she know this?"She does… and I can tell you it's mutual! While he's comforting her they start kissing and neither of them wants to stop this time. But the timing's not right."

What? Why not?"Steve worries he's taking advantage and pulls back and Michelle thinks it's her fault and that she threw herself at him while he was just being kind!"
