~ Popstars & Hear'Say ~

Thousands of hopefuls auditioned for Popstars back in 2001, a series of open televised auditions began in the search of 5 lucky hopefuls who will become a member of the new pop band.
Thousands auditioned with only 5 places available for the band so after weeks of intense auditions they were narrowed down to just 10.

The judges - Nigel Lithgoe, Paul Adams and Nicki Chapman went to each of the 10 finalists houses to delever the good... or bad news and told them if they were in the band or not.
Danny Foster, Myleene Klass, Suzanne Shaw, Noel Sullivan and Kym Marsh were the lucky 5 who then went onto form Hear'say
The other 5 then went on to form their own band called Liberty X.

While the series was still bieng shown on TV, Hear'Say moved into a £1.5m house in North London in a secret location.
They were kept there until the auditions were bieng shown on TV, They built up a lot of press attention with newspapers and reporters trying to follow them to find out where they were living and to find out who was in the band.

A Popstars TV production were filming Hear'Say every step of the way, and filmed their every move for the Popstars TV series.

Hear'Say had a massive schedule to from rehersals, vocal coaching, working with choreographers to learn dance routine's, and of course, recording sessions to record their 1st ever single.

Life was hard for everyone in the house, especially Kym who found it hard having time to see her children David and Emily and found it very hard living apart from them.

The bands first single 'Pure And Simple' was released 12th March 2001 and shot to number 1 in the chart and was also the fastest selling debut single.. ever and was even in the guiness book of world records. The single went double platinum, selling an a massive 1.2 million copies!

Their 1st album 'Popstars' was released soon after which also went to number 1 in the chart and Hear'Say wrre the first band to reach number 1 in the charts with their debut single and album!

By the time Hear'Say released their 2nd single 'The Way To Your Love' in June 2006, Pure and Simple was still in the UK Singles Chart.
The Way To Your Love also went straight to Number 1.

Apart from their albums Hear'Say also made a TV Series called Hear'Say: It's Saturday, for ITV which featured Hear'Say performing with other famous singers.

Then came Hear'Says major UK arena tour, Hear'Say did a 36-date sell out UK arena tour.

While on tour Hear'Say were working on their 2nd Album and recorded many of the tracks for the album in a mobile recording studio while they were on tour.

After the tour they released their 3rd Single - 'Everybody' on 26th November 2001, which managed to get to number 4 in the charts, and their album - also called 'Everybody' was released soon after but failed to make the top of the charts and entered the chart at number 24!

Rumours started to emerge that Kym (who was engaged to Eastenders Jack Ryder) but these were all denied until Jan 2002 when it was announced that Kym Marsh had left the band.

Kym found it hard to manage woring with the band and trying to raise her two children David and Emily. With Hear'Says busy schedule with touring and recording, it became too much for Kym and she decided to leave as her children came first.

Noel, Danny, Suzanne and Myleene announced Kyms departure from the band on BBC's Top Of The Pops and announced that they will be holding auditions for Kyms replacement. and Johnny Shentall became a member of Hear'Say after the auditions.

Hear'Say had planned a 2nd Arena tour while Kym was in the band but this was soon cancelled when Johnny joined Hear'Say to give the band time to work with Johnny.

Hear'Say (With Johhny) released a single in 2002 called ' Lovin Is Easy, Which got to number 6 In the UK Charts but Hear'Say suffered, as crowds at summer shows got abusve towards the band and playing 'jokes' on them and booing them on stage, However, Hearsay finally decided to call it a day in 1st Oct 2002. Hear'Say had split up.

Kym still keeps in contact with Most of the members of Hear'Say, She sees Suzanne and occasionally Speaks to Myleene and Danny, But Unfortunately Noel isnt in contact with Kym since she left the band...
