Just when you thought you'd seen the last of former Hear'Say warbler Kym Marsh, her career takes a U-turn.
The popband flopped, her solo career went likewise and her stage musical career went vastly unnoticed. So brace yourself for Kym's daytime TV debut.

Nope, she won't be talking about women's problems on the sofa next to Philip Schofield - she's landed an acting role in BBC series Doctors.

"I learned lots from my time in the theatre and it also gave me the acting bug," Kym enthuses to OK! Magazine.

"I've now signed up with an acting agent. Music is my first love and always will be. But I'd really love to do straight acting as well."

Kym will play just a small role in a couple of episodes of the medical show, but it's what she describes as a "great start."
She'll be playing a woman suspected of giving date rape drugs to men and robbing them.
While she's in the doctors surgery she can practice her bedside manner to help her recuperating actor hubby Jack Ryder who's been suffering from chronic food intolerances.
He's been so ill his weight dropped from 13 stone to a scary 8 st 10. Luckily he's now back on the mend.
